It's said the online retailer has responded to tough competition ahead of the Christmas period, and for the first time since 2002 it will ship to US customers free of charge.

As reported by Forbes, you won't need to meet the usual $25 minimum order threshold.

The company has confirmed the offer will launch on Monday (05.11.18) and run for a limited time to make sure the packages arrived in time for Christmas.

Amazon - which has promised "hundreds of millions" of items available - will also take care of its Prime members.

Those users already get free two-day shipping on over 100 million items without a minimum spend, and so the reach and selection of same day shipping has been increased by more than two million items.
