The technology giant's new subscription service is available from £4.99 per month and it promises content from the "world's greatest storytellers".

Zack Van Amburg, Apple's head of Worldwide Video, said: "With Apple TV+, we are presenting all-original stories from the best, brightest and most creative minds, and we know viewers will find their new favourite show or movie on our service. Each Apple TV+ original offers its own unique story, fresh perspective and powerful message - all meant to entertain, connect and inspire cultural conversations."

Whilst Jamie Erlicht, Apple's head of Worldwide Video, added: "Apple TV+ is an unprecedented global video service with an all-original slate. We look forward to giving audiences everywhere the opportunity to enjoy these compelling stories within a rich, personalised experience on all the screens they love."

Some of Apple's new content include 'See', starring Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard. It is set 600 years in the future after a virus has made the population blind, forcing humans to adapt and find a new way to survive.

'The Morning Show' is a cutthroat drama, which is starring and has been executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, and also stars Steve Carell. The series explores the world of morning news and the "ego, ambition and the misguided search for power" behind the morning team.

Dark comedy 'Dickinson', 'For All Mankind', 'Snoopy in Space' and 'Ghostwriter' are some of the other titles as well as 'The Elephant Queen' whilst leading broadcaster Oprah Winfrey leads a "vibrant, global book club community".

Subscribers are able to watch Apple TV+ originals both online and offline, ad-free and on demand, on the Apple TV app, which is available on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and iPod touch and is also set to be rolled out on Mac with macOS Catalina.

The Apple TV app can also be used on select Samsung smart TVs, and will come to Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony and VIZIO platforms in the future. Customers are also able to sign up and watch Apple TV+ originals on the web at
