Facebook is set to let users transfer their images directly to Google Photos.
The social media network has launched the new tool in Ireland today (02.12.19), with the rest of the world set to follow in early 2020.
Steve Satterfield, director of privacy and public policy at Facebook, commented:
"For almost a decade, we've enabled people to download their information from Facebook.
"The photo transfer tool we're starting to roll out today is based on code developed through our participation in the open-source Data Transfer Project."
This Data Transfer Project also includes the likes of Apple, Google, Microsoft, Twitter, and more, with other services set to roll out in the future.
