Huawei has teamed up with Henry Holland to design the world's first phone-charging Christmas jumper.
The Chinese tech giant has joined forces with the fashion designer to create a practical but fun festive sweater, which comes with a built-in phone pouch for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro to wirelessly reverse charge phones that are low on battery.
The idea came about for the 'Designated Charger' jumpers after a study found that 21 per cent of Brits would rather have no mince pies on Christmas Day, than have a phone with no charge.
A staggering 15 per cent even admitted they would prefer not to have a turkey on December 25th, over having a fully powered up device.
Henry was photographed by world famous photographer Rankin as part of the campaign wearing one of the jumpers.
Justin Costello, Huawei Director of Marketing, UK and Ireland, said: "We all know the perils of running out of a phone battery, and at Huawei we strive to use innovative technology to solve problems like this, which is exactly what we've done with the new Huawei Mate 20 Pro - with its incredible battery life, we're able to give some of the device's power to charge another phone wirelessly using its world first reverse wireless charging feature. With Christmas being one of the most sociable times of year, there is all the more scope for running out of battery, which is why we've teamed up with two of the biggest names in British fashion - Henry Holland and Rankin - to release the 'Designated Charger' Jumper, so we can charge the nation in style, when they need it most."
Huawei will have one of the exclusive 'Designated Charger Jumpers' alongside a brand-new Huawei Mate 20 Pro up for grabs on their Twitter channel at @HuaweiMobileUK.
The competition will start at 9am on December 18, closing at midday on December 20, meaning the winner will get their prize in time for Christmas.
