IKEA has joined forces with Ori to develop robotic furniture to save space.
The room divider acts as a bed, walk-in wardrobe or sofa and is due to hit consumers in 2020, in Hong Kong and Japan before arriving in the rest of the world.
Seana Strawn, product developer for innovations at IKEA of Sweden, commented: "With robotics, you transform space, especially for those who live in extremely small spaces. It's a need that they have and why not use the technology that's out there."
The robotic furniture is operated by a touchpad and has been in development for the two years.
