was voted off 'Dancing On Ice' last night (09.03.08) in the show's semi-final.The singer found himself in the bottom two with former 'Coronation Street' actress Zaraah Abrahams, but after performing his routine to Bon Jovi's 'Livin' On A Prayer', all five judges voted for Zaraah to go through to next week's final.Following Gareth's routine with partner Maria Filippov, judge Jason Gardiner said: "That not a semi-final performance. When you came out and started this routine. It was amazing. You were sharp. You were on it."Slowly but surely though the whole routine got away from you. You were playing catch-up. Your arms let you down."After being voted off, 23-year-old Gareth - who scored 24.5 points out of 30 for his performance - said: "I have fought out there and that is all I could've done. It's been fantastic and I love Maria to bits."Zaraah - who was only invited onto the show after 'GMTV' reporter Michael Underwood was injured - will now compete in next week's final alongside former Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw and 'Hollyoaks' star Chris Fountain.Meanwhile, producers on the talent show have decided to ban competitors' friends and family from going backstage to greet their loved ones after their routines, after things between Chris and Zaraah's family turned nasty.
A source said: "Chris' mum was selling her green 'Team Fountain' t-shirts for charity and last night the audience was full of them. Everybody else was furious - it's got so competitive. We had to ban everyone from backstage because all you could hear was sniping and b***hing."
