Joanna Lumley and Rik Mayall will star in a 'Jonathan Creek' one-off special this year.
Alan Davies, who portrays the titular investigator, confirmed the 'Absolutely Fabulous' actress and the 'Bottom' star will appear in 90-minute one-off episode 'In The Clue of the Savant's Thumb', which is due to air at Easter.
But Alan remained tight-lipped about details of the show, which is expected to see Jonathan and his fellow investigator Joey Ross (Sheridan Smith) try to figure out the miraculous disappearance of a body in front of three witnesses at a girls' boarding school.
He said: "There's a dead body in a room and Joanna Lumley is in it and Rik Mayall is in it and it's very good."
However, Alan admitted the special episode has been hampered by the recent snowfall in the UK.
Speaking at the National Television Awards at London's The O2 last night (23.01.13) - where he picked up the Comedy Panel Show prize for 'QI' - he added to BANG Showbiz: "We have been hampered by the snow. We've lost a few days filming because of the snow. I've got to go there tomorrow morning really early when I should really be wielding this award around in some seedy nightclub."
While he was disappointed about his lack of celebrations, the 'QI' star was "thrilled" to see the show win an accolade and hopes the long-running programme will continue for another 10 years.
He explained: "Everyone is really thrilled. It's really nice.
"I think there was always optimism from the producers that the show would go on for a long time because they called the first series, 'Series A', and intended to make the whole alphabet so I think they had a plan to go on for a long time. We've been on air for 10 years, maybe we'll do another 10 years?"
